Crimson & Whipped Cream

Identity

Crimson & Whipped cream is a bakery and coffee bar located near campus of the University of Oklahoma. Ashleigh—Chef & Owner—based the name off a reference to the school colors, crimson and cream.

More work to come.

Gourdough’s

Identity

Gourdough’s is a gourmet donut shop housed in a vintage Airstream in Austin. These are no ordinary donuts. Chicken, bacon, extreme amounts of chocolate and other decadence are in abundance. A twist on the spanish word for fat inspired a large, mustachioed donut character, created in a style that pays homage to characters from eateries of the past. The typography and color palette further this nostalgic feel.

More coming soon.

Matt Rainwaters

Identity

Matt Rainwaters is an Austin-based photographer, working primarily in editorial after a stint as an advertising photographer. He’s a dude with a serious enthusiasm for life, especially surfing, tacos, and now that he’s in Texas, BBQ. He also has—at times—a glorious afro, which felt appropriate as a mark. The tagline “shoot pictures, not people” references a line used from his days teaching high school photography in LA. A promo piece created around the tagline was mailed to a variety of creatives, to hang in the office and shoot. With real darts!

Casey Dunn

Identity

Casey Dunn is an Austin-based architectural photographer. His bold, crisp style served as the basis for his identity, the foundation being a logo that reduced his last name into abstract forms which reference both the objects he shoots and the framework or window through which he sees his shots.

The TenCount Foundation

Identity

The TenCount Foundation was formed in memory of Dennis “Hook ‘em” Horne, a professional boxer and avid animal lover who devoted much of his time to helping animals in need. The name of the foundation references a boxing tradition in which a ring bell is tolled ten times in honor of a boxer who has passed. This name, though somber, takes on an appropriate tone when referencing the animals—many of whom were on their last leg—that he saved.

Vintage boxing posters and tickets served as visual inspiration, and my dog’s collar inspired the important last piece. Photo styling courtesy of Ivy the basset hound.
